Mangoes make delicious dishes in Longlin

In Lameng town’s mango orchards of Longling county in Baoshan city, southwest Yunnan, the trees are laden with ripe fruit. Here, mangoes are not only enjoyed as a fruit but are also made into various dishes by the locals.

Chicken stewed with mango

The dish often uses free-range chickens raised by local villagers as its main material. First, the chicken is stir-fried in hot oil. Then, it is simmered in hot water. Once the chicken broth is boiling and the meat gets tender, chunks of green mango are added. Finally, the chicken soup will be delicious with a little bit sour flavor.

Deep-fried mango

Mango strips are coated in egg batter and flour. Then, they are deeply fried until golden brown. The delightful dish tastes crispy outside and tender inside.

Green mango salad

Fresh green mangoes are thinly sliced and mixed with coriander, chili, salt, and soy sauce. This vibrant and refreshing dish is a perfect appetizer that stimulates the appetite.

Beef stir-fried with mango
