Zoo walk favored by young people
Nowadays, some young people can stay in line for 3 hours just to see a celebrated monkey in a zoo. Some not only pay for the ticket and are willing to spend more than a thousand yuan in buying zoo related products.
Zoos and safaris, the once parents’ choice are now crowded with college students. Young people nowadays prefer immersive and entertaining experience. Thus, zoo walk is favored.
The reason why zoo walk gets popular among the young is that they love new things. The animal stars in zoos often show lovely moves and of special appearance. Some are of special habits that make people laugh. So, many animal stars go viral online by accidents attracting young tourists.

“Dudu is not good looking but so cute. I even don’t know why I like him so much,” said Xue Jing, a tourist in Hongshan Forest Zoo in Nanjing city of Jiangsu province, pointing at Dudu, an online famous white-faced saki. During this May Day holiday, the zoo has received many tourists, rounding off the top five scenic spots in the city.
Some netizens added that they even feel relaxed seeing tigers yawn in the zoo. And zoo walkers can luckily experience various scenery of the world. For example, in a heavy rain hitting Guangzhou city recently, herds of giraffes and zebras in Chimelong Safari Park rushed to their houses to shelter from the rain.
The splendid “great migration” of them wowed tourists. A young netizen commented that, “It’s not we can’t afford to go to Kenya for animal watching. It’s just going to Guangzhou Chimelong is of better cost performance.”

As zoo walk is gaining popularity, many zoos sell related products by showing the animal stars. In the culture and creativity pavilion of Hongshan Forest Zoo, the limited edition of mystery boxes attracted young tourists. Some are even sold out.
What’s more the zoos offer many other products like ornaments, toys, and kites to tourists. Some even cooperate with well-known brands to attract young people because they like to share and “show off”.
