2nd int’l festival for traditional sports completes in Yunnan

Opening of the second Traditional Sports International Festival

The second Traditional Sports International Festival was held in central Yunnan’s Kunming city from October 18 to 20.

The three-day festival invited in 723 athletes from from 27 countries and regions, who competed in wushu, health qigong, dragon dance, lion dance and other traditional Chinese sports events.

 

The festival is attended by athletes from from 27 countries and regions.

International athletes stage a dragon dance at the festival.  

"It’s snowy in my Russian home now, but Kunming is still as warm as spring. The landscape here is beautiful and the people are friendly. I’m pleased to be with global qigong lovers via the festival," said Christina, a Russian team leader in red sports suits.

The festival is hosted by the All-China Sports Federation and jointly undertaken by the Foreign Sports Exchange Center of the State Sports General Administration, the Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau and the Kunming Municipal People's Government.

 

The festival is attended by athletes from from 27 countries and regions.

Athletes stage a wushu show at the festival.

A Yunnan ethnic group dance is staged at the festival.
