Sherry Zhu, a TikTok influencer from the U.S. and the creator of the trending hashtag “BecomingChinese,” looked into the unique charm of tie-dye, a cultural heritage of the Bai people.
Sherry did this during a visit to Yunnan province, where she met Patrik, a Swedish sojourner in west Yunnan’s Dali Bai autonomous prefecture.
Sherry tied the fabric by hand to created distinctive patterns. The Bai stitches and threads bring a cross-cultural delight.
