Malavika gets her long-awaited direct flight to India

China Eastern Airlines resumed the direct Kunming-Kolkata flight on April 18, and Malavika Chakrabarty, an Indian who had lived in Kunming for 13 years, finally got her long-awaited direct flight to India after six years.

"Now I can go back to India on weekends! Kunming is home to Asia's largest flower trading market, and Kolkata has India's largest flower market. This air route will connect the fragrance of flowers between the two sister cities," said Malavika.
