Documentary on China-Laos Railway premieres in both countries
A launch event for the documentary "Journey Across Jungles: The China-Laos Railway" and the China-Laos Railway Media Tour was held in central Yunnan’s Kunming city on April 14.

Scheduled for broadcast on CCTV-9 at 19:30 from April 14 to 16, the documentary will air simultaneously on Lao National Television. It will then broadcast on iQIYI, Youku, Tencent Video, Bilibili and provincial TVs across China.
The documentary was made by media professionals from China, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore and other countries, who conducted three field shoots across China and Laos.

Focusing on the cross-border journey of British photographer Thomas Heaton, the documentary tells down-to-earth stories along the China-Laos Railway and showcases its features in construction and operation.
Since December last year, the English version of the documentary has been broadcast in more than 100 countries and regions across Asia, Europe and the Americas, ranking among the top in viewership in countries including India, Germany and the United Kingdom.

The English version will next be broadcast in Belt and Road countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam, allowing global audiences to see the unique charm of the China-Laos Railway.
At the event, representatives of China-Laos Railway workers and Lao students in China were presented with copies of the documentary. The shooting team also told some behind-the-scenes stories.

Hosted by the Publicity Department of China Railway’s Leading Party Members Group and the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, the event was organized by China Railway Kunming Group.
